Fire Restoration Clean

Fire and Carbon Restoration Cleaning - Important to Get Right!

Fires Produce Acidity - Cleaning is Critical! Fire Damage

The restoration of surfaces that have been involved in a fire environment is a very specialised area.

Many people do not realise that removing the physical carbon is not sufficient to restore a surface. As part of the combustion process, an acid is produced as a bi-product which severely attacks metal surfaces in particular.

It is critical to chemically neutralise this acidity to ensure the building suffers no long term fire smell and corrosion problems. Rinsing with water alone is not sufficient. Fire Restoration

When our team treat your building, we analyse the exact nature of the fire and what was involved in the combustion equation. We then chemically neutralise the entire building based on it's individual requirements.

We have seen buildings rebuilt after a fire with completely corroded roof trusses and structual members - all because the right chemical process wasn't used after the fire.

The Process

Our team solve your fire damage problems with specialised equipment and techniques developed through our Research and Systems Engineering Department. Fire Damage Restoration Sample

The best method for removing carbon stains and neutralising surfaces is chemically. Our Surface Restoration Technicians mix a blend of chemicals on site depending on the type of carbon produced by the fire and the underlying substrate.

Once the chemical has softened the stains and drawn it out of the substrate, we rinse it off and neutralise the area with water under pressure.

Odour Smell Treatment

Odour smells can present themselves after a fire if smoke works its way into cavity walls. The Stain Eaters have developed a masking agent that successfully suppresses odour smells removing the offensive odour.

Fire Restoration on Colourbond

On this unit building the guttering was smoke effected as a result of a fire in the under building car park.

This picture shows the removal of the carbon from the guttering, saving the building contractor from having to replace large lengths of guttering that was on the third floor.

The Stain Eaters used a solution designed to nuetralise the acidity in the carbon and restore the Coloubond surface back to neutral pH levels. The Colourbond was able to be saved and not replaced.

Canopy Cleaning - Diesel Soot Removal

Service stations, retail stores and office buildings often have canopies that over time get covered in exhaust fumes from vehicles and require cleaning. Light boxes in particular require a clean on the inside and outside to allow them to omit maximum light.

The pollution on these canopies, apart from looking dirty can also damage the Colourbond cladding or paint work over time resulting in corrosion. Regular cleaning extends the life of the canopy.

The Process

Driveway closures are conducted to secure the worksite in off peak periods.

A chemical process is used by our team to neutralises the acidity produced as a bi product of the combustion process leaving the surface with a neutral pH.

Long lances are used to clean the canopy using high pressure water from the ground reducing time and cost.

Scaffold and cherry picker access is used to gain access for light box cleaning.

Waste water vacuum recovery is utilised to process the water bi product produced so that it can be recycled and used on garden beds.
